Over the weekend Mrs EKE and I drove up to Edinburgh to visit family. I did some bike fettling and performed a few brake & gear services and as a thankyou I was given a bike.
The spec:
Specialized
Aluminium frame
Single speed
Riser bars
Coaster brake
Radial spoked wheels

I'm looking forward to stripping it, giving it a good clean and reassembling it.

Specialized Hotrock 12
FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

I'm hungry. I'm always hungry!

Need to stand closer for a better picture as it looks very small
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Methinks the letter B doesn't just stand for bike.

Daughter #1 had a Hot Rock (albeit a larger one) and it was a good bike.

I even got a spare innertube.

Seeing as I don't have any kids and even if a baby was dropped in my lap today s/he would be three years away from using the Hotrock, I'm going to loan it to a friend, well, their daughter, to learn on. Its not looking promising though, Mrs EKE and I bought said nipper a balance bike last Xmas and she STILL can't use it properly as she never goes out on it. Grrr!!!...

    Ahhh. No.
Or you just don't know about it.
Or you just don't know that you want it.
Or you just don't know how much you want it.
    She will tell you anyway.
    Admit it.
