Anyone know of a 1 1/8 headset that will fit in place of an FSA Orbit IS2 but which has a lower stack height on top of the headtube, the FSA is listed as 9.5mm, hoping to get down to half that if possible. 36/45 bearings.

Anyone know if this will work in a bike that would take the FSA Orbit IS2 mentioned above? (obviously with its own crown race fitted to the fork if different)

...if so 5.9mm is possibly low enough.

Download the headset tech guide from the FSA website - it has all the dimensions so you can make a direct comparison
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

The FSA is normal 36/45 bearings... so there's plenty of integrated headsets that will work fine in the bike as it's pretty standard, the problem is finding one that has the low Top Cover height.

The Campag one I ask because it's sort of more cup n cone, but there isn't enough information/dimensions there for me to know if it will work in a 45 deg cut headtube in place of a regular modern type with sealed bearing races. I spotted it as the 5.9mm is low enough probably.

Found a freely available one in case anyone else is at all interested. Hope 'Integrated'... same 6.5mm 35/45 bearings, top cap is 5mm.
