Carnac Triathlon cycle shoes help

Hi not sure if this is the right place to post this request but i'm new - thats my excuse anyway!!!! 
I have a pair of Carnac triathlon shoes and have snapped one of the magnetic closers does anyone know where I can get spares. The importers that I bought them off no longer import apparently Planet -x now import but they could not help either! Carnac-sport website is under construction so no help their either. I'm stumped any help would be greatly appreciated. it would be a shame to have to junk a good pair of shoes for the sake of a consumable part. :?

I've been told Carnac have gone bust.

Would any old magnet do ? Get the strong ones off Ebay ? they come in all shapes and sizes ?0
