The tool you buy for the job will have this part. If you are trying to use a DIY method then you need find a M20? thread bolt to screw in. Just buy the right tools they have been made precisely for this purpose.

Campagnolo recommend Powertorque removal can be done in two ways:

Cyclus make a commercial tool for alloy crank removal and an add-on for carbon cranks. This is Campagnolo's most recently-recommended method. It is relatively expensive as this is a commercial workshop tool intended for heavy, long-term use.

For the second method you will need Campagnolo parts UT-FC090 and UT-FC095 (a plug for the end of the axle and a plasticised card protector for the back of the crank, respectively) and a Facom U.301 two-legger puller. The Facom tool is different to most in that it has "feet" small enough to fit between crank and cup and crucially, the harder the central screw is tightened against the plug in the end of the axle, the harder the "legs" of the puller are pulled in against the crank. This is essential as otherwise the feet slide on the back of the crank, damaging it.

Don't forget to check that when the bolt is removed from the end of the spindle that the fine silver washer comes out with it - if it doesn't, be sure to remove it before trying to pull the crank, otherwise you will not be able to get the crank off and may damage the tools, the crank or yourself ...

We have had adverse reports of other crank removing tools and whilst we have no way of knowing if these tools were being correctly used, we would probably advise users to adopt one of Campagnolo's recommended tools and methods.

Does this apply to Veloce alloy cranks or just carbon cranks? Is the Facom puller just for carbon cranks? Will the Facom U.301 also pull the bearings off Ultra Torque cranks? I was told to buy a Facom U.14L, should I send it back?
