Looking at getting a new De Rosa Protos Campag. Has anyone any experience of this bike? What is the geometry set up for? is it an out and out speed machine or more balanced? Would prefer a more aggresive geo so not sure if this is what I am potentially looking for.

You'd probably best look the geometry up on Google before someone LMGTFY's it..........Faster than a tent.......0

You can download the pdf of the current brochure for it here. I assume you know about geometry and it's in the doc, or that you know your bike fit and how to transfer it onto the frame specs to check. If you don't then don't buy based on rough opinion, to me the wording of your post is very loose, do you actually know the angles and dimensions you are after?
(I roughly assume for a starters that you can't get low enough on your current bike too, that it's got no spacers at all and wont go lower etc, so is wrong for you... or maybe you want road bikes in two different fits?)0 -

Surely no one on here would take that attitude would they"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

well I guess the answer from at least 2 of you is " Sorry, I ain't got a damn clue but please allow me to be a pedantic twatster"
I know my geometry but I also maybe unlike said twatsers know that a bike can on paper be very different to how it physically rides. therefore I was asking if anyone actually has experience of the bike. there are no De Rosa dealers close by do would like to get a better idea before I start driving off somewhere to see one if its not as I assumed. For all those uneducated. a bikes 2D geometry drawn on a web page does nothing to show handling characteristics or reach for a given size. You only really know when you ride it.0 -
Part of what you said was "What is the geometry set up for? is it an out and out speed machine or more balanced? Would prefer a more aggresive geo so not sure if this is what I am potentially looking for." ...and you were shown the geometry, and you know your own bike fit so you say... so all the geometry and interpretation of how aggressive the geometry is is there in the numbers (well, most of it in this case).
If you were actually ONLY after people's opinions of the bike who have ridden it on what 'they think it rides like' then that's not really the only thing you asked, maybe a bunch of owners will pipe up for you0
