Cube Peloton Race

Hi,
Looking to buy my first road bike (secondhand) and after trawling many sites and my local bike shops I'm thinking of getting a Cube Peloton Race 2013. It looks a decent first bike with good kit and just under 9kg it seems a decent choice. Asking for advice on a first bike is like the old how long is a piece of string question and it's totally subjective I know. Does anybody own this bike and can they comment on it please?
Alternatives are a Cannondale CAAD8, Focus bikes, Bianchi base models etc.
I've got a budget of around £700 for a first bike. If I get in to it I'll get a full carbon
Cheers

Are you paying £700 for a second hand Peloton Race? If so, i'd say that's a bad deal, you can get one new for £800.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

I was just looking for a winter bike between £500 and £700 and there's plenty out there, if you take your time and have a good idea in your head of exactly what you want you'll pick up a bargain.
Giant Defy and TCRs, Boardmans, Cube and Focus bikes can be picked up for around that bracket, some equipped with Shimano 105 and maybe Mavic Aksium wheels or Fulcrum 7s. The best catch that I came across was a mint 2012 Giant TCR comp equipped with Ultegra go for £750.0 -
Agreed, too expensive £700 for that s/h even if mint.0
