Enigma Bikes-fantastic customer service

First off, I have no connection with Enigma, in fact I posted on here a few weeks ago regarding getting a Van Nic Zephyr instead of an Enigma Echo
I visited Enigma on Thursday this week, the communication beforehand from Jim and the Enigma team was brilliant.
I travelled by train and Jim picked me up from the station, offered a tea on arrival and a quick chat and then a quick measurement session with Jaco, I had assumed I would be suited to a 53cm Echo but after looking at the figures Jaco suggested a 55cm with 100mm stem.
An Echo was set up to suit my measurements and I had a quick ride to make sure I was happy with the frame size before I went off on a more thorough test ride, really impressed with the Echo during the ride.
Got back and was met by another cup of tea and Jim, where we went through various build specs, with honest pros and cons on groupsets, wheels, finishing kit etc by Jim. This was a confirmation of my build I had asked about in emails.
I paid a deposit, although there was no pressure whatsoever to do so, but as I'm not picking up the finished bike till April/May, which is my preference, I decided to put some money down.
With another tea in my hand I had a guided tour of the Enigma workshop, some beautiful bikes on display and watching the frame builders and the finishers going about their work, you could see this was a genuine labour of love, just speaking to Jim, you can see the enthusiasm and passion he has for the bikes they make/finish.
All in all, probably the best customer service I've had in a long, long time and not just in the cycling world. Also when I go back to collect the finished bike I will be getting another fit to make sure everything is spot on.
Highly recommended if you are considering an Enigma Ti or Steel bike, pop down there if possible, you wont regret it.

I wouldn't call it a sales pitch at all, under absolutely no obligation or pressure at any time. I've been on the end of selling tactics and I'm the first to walk or shut up shop if I think I'm being sold a pup. There aren't many bike retailers I've been in that don't try to tell you the brands they stock are the best and the brands they don't stock aren't.
Jim at Enigma acknowledges the competition make good bikes and end of the day,it is the small things that persuade you to splash the cash one way or another.0 -

I wouldn't say they were overpriced, particularly for custom ti or steel ...0

An old thread now, but my experience at Enigma pretty much mirrors this. Didnt feel like a sales pitch at anytime. I was looked after by Jaco, and although wasnt my intention, when we started looking at finishes my budget went out the window and now have an awesome Enigma Echo with a custom paint job.0

problem is many of their made to measure builds appear to have tons of spacers on the steerer......0
