I'm 56, will be 57 in 3 weeks, I am doing much better than I was at 36-37  , all the health problems from a severe spinal injury and abdominal surgeries and the kidney disease joining in the parade  . Now I am riding 100+ miles a week, have lost 72+ lbs and feeling great about my life :) . Cycling has made all the difference for me :D .
Lets just got for a ride, the heck with all this stuff...
  • 53 an a half for me.... feels like I'm early 30's for some unfathomable reason. A bit of racing, some triathlon and eating/drinking what I please (mostly), all contribute to a good sense of wellbeing...

50 and a quarter. Mental age 18. Like some of you cats I'm riding faster now than I did maybe 20 years ago. Weird.

    54 and feeling fine.

Much better since I started doing some regular exercise around 2 years ago (riding a bike BTW).

Can't post a picture as there are good reasons for not wanting to put a face to the name

The older I get, the better I was.

    56. Some days I feel older, some days I feel younger. Cycling's to blame for both...

48, though I must have a mental age of 18 as Mrs Goo is always telling me to 'growing up'.

43 but I act like either a teenager or an old man.
  • I am 53 in December

    GROWING OLD IS MANDATORY......

    GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL!!!!!

I still draw "speednobs" in my mates papers at work FGS!!!!

I basically refuse to grow up....Peter Pan theory...never grow up...never grow old!!!!

  • 46.

Unfortunately that should read 1946 :(

Had a birthday a couple of weeks ago and a medical check-up ten days ago. All seems O K so I may as well carry on :D

When you reach this sort of age your state of health is all that matters. I know that is true for other ages but earlier in life you may not notice.

that's what my dad always said when asked his age.

Sounds like the opening line to a maths problem.

"I'm younger than 27people in this thread, if you times that by the number of posts I've made and divide by the number of teeth in a 10speed 11-23 cassette what number do you have?

  • 51 but like others refuse to grow up. WTF do you want to do that for?? Can still look trim in lycra (or so I think) Mrs DSD may give you a different response but her eyesight isn't what it used to be!
  • A much better idea would be for people to post photos of themselves in lycra on the bike, then we all get to guess their age......

    ...could result in fisitcuffs....!

    Just 43 by the way!
