Hi!
I'm choosing a carbon frame to buy so I'm thinking about the nice Ribble Sportive Bianco!
What do you think about it?
Is it easy to handle/drive and fast?
Thanks,

Donatella

  • Well, I think it's a pretty good choice, but then I am biased as I own one!

I've been very pleased with it, and found Ribble easy to deal with. I've not had any issues in terms of how it performs, but I don't think it's really possible to say whether it's fast, as in my view it's the rider more than the bike that is going to make the biggest difference, suffice to say that I am sure it isn't holding me back!
  • Thank you very much for your opinion about it! :)
I'm glad to hear it's a good frame 8) and yes I agree that cyclist is the most important thing for the performance!
Do you think that the size 49 is perfect for 166 cm height?

I am a similar height to you and the 49 is the size I would go for, it has an effective top tube length about the same as my ride. :)
  • Thanks diamonddog for your useful and kind reply! :)
I will choose the size 49 then 8)

Which groupset, wheels are you going for?
  • I will move components from my Bianchi Nirone frame, so it'll be Campagnolo Veloce 10 speed, Miche 13x28 gears, Ambrosio WS23 wheels (Miche hub), Most Xylon handlebar, SMP Evolution saddle and pedals Look Keo Easy.
    Which one you have?

My ride is a PX Pro Carbon SL which has Sram gearing which I really like and I am still deciding which bike to get next.
Your bike will look nice with the Campag on it, enjoy. :)

Your bike is very good then! :)
Yes the Ribble Sportive would be nice but I'm also considering a carbon Pinarello Razha on sale!
