Superlight tyres and tube bargains?

Ultremo ZX's are near the end. Looking for superlight replacement, mainly for summer use, on my best bike. Not in a rush but any bargain links would be appreciated.

Try these, very light, grip well, and I've only had 1 puncture in about 1000 miles. Ride really nicely with Latex tubes as well.

Have a look at Veloflex open tubulars. I've been using them is summer and they're fantastic, they feel a lot faster and more supple than the Ultremos, although I do prefer the feel of the the Ultremos in the corners. They don't cut up like the Ultremos either.
Ribble have regularly got them in their sales. The Master has a amber wall, the Corsa has a black wall, otherwise they're the same.Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Good choices are Veloflex Corsa 23 or Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX (which are quite similar and you can get colours if you want them), The Veloflex Master or Vittoria Open Corsa SC you can go for if you like amber walls, I think in both cases these amber ones are supposed to be slightly better tyres as well though, it was always the case with the Vittoria anyway, unless something has changed.
I've ridden all but the Veloflex Master. All are supple, all are great and will help improve feel on a bike that suffers from road buzz, on a smooth bike, you notice the increased suppleness far less. None of them will last like a GP4000s will if money is of a concern. I think the ones I have rated the most on just ride quality is the Vitt SC (as I say I haven't had Velo Masters).
Latex tubes are worth it too if you have a bike where you wish to reduce road buzz, they add to the supple effect even more.0 -

The 'Open Tubulars' are in fact clinchers, the name 'Open Tubular' refers to the manufacturing method.

Doesnt matter much, Vittoria and Michelin are quite common, Challenge are lighter but I wonder if they are maybe a bit too fragile (no experience here, but they are difficult to find stock of anyway) pick whichever have a valve length that suits your rims. Make sure you don't pinch them when fitting, use some talc on them or inside the tyre will help, and remember that if you change tyres, you'll bin the tubes, cos once they have been fitted for a while and at pressure they will stretch (you'll confirm this for yourself as soon as you take one out).
...like I said though, on a very smooth bike, going for latex tubes when you are already riding open tubulars can be not too noticable, but on a bike with a lot of road buzz, you should notice the jump to latex tubes in an instant just as you will have noticed the difference going to open tubulars (note, this does depend that you've done them in this order, I cant confirm if just putting latex tubes in hosepipes gives a good change.... also the effects of all this will differ depending on which tyres you are coming from... also note that a LOT of riders ride at too high psi, and can enjoy similar effects by the cheaper method of letting a but of air out).0 -

Those like of tyres at this time of year are asking for punctures. Vittoria Paves would be my choice if you have clearance for a more robust 320 TPI tyre.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
