Boardman Hybrid Comp - Worth it?

Hi Peeps,
Hadn't had a Bike for years and really needed to push to get my fitness back up. Live in Clacton, Essex, Not 'hilly' really.
So earlier in the year I brought a Carrera Vulcan (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... ogId=10151), which I love for off roading and handling bumps and dips, etc. But with the tyres, not ideal for distance or road riding. I don't want to get in to swapping sets of rims etc.
So I have had a quick look around, and yet again, Halfords has throw something up that looks very nice and probably up to the job of what I want(?), a road riding bike without drop bars, Boardman Hybird Comp 2014. (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165534)
Has anyone had experience with this bike? is there anything that would be better suited for similar (or lower) price?
Currently Halfords are knocking off £40 if brought by Wednesday night.

Hello,
I recently got a Boardman Hybrid Pro.
Its an excellent bike, really happy with it.
Not sure what the comp will be like as its not as high spec'd as the pro but from all the reviews I read Im sure it will be a great bike!!0 -
The Pro looks really nice and out specs the Comp, BUT (always one) I can't justify the cost, let alone afford it. The Mrs would kill me if I tried. If I was commuting daily or a few times a week, then possibly.
But Thanks for the comment. I have until to night to make a decision on this one. Halfords knock £40 off plus around £14-15 via cashback sites0
