prob a silly one but thinking of buying a turbo trainer,do these TT's mark the frame of the bike or are they clamped against the skewer?

The Cycleops one I have comes with a heavy duty skewer to which the turbo trainer clamps. The front wheel sits in a plastic riser block and there is no point of contact between the turbo trainer and the frame.

Main threat to the frame is sweat, hence the silly looking bibs which stretch between stem and seatpost to cover the frame.

I think they all clamp on the skewer, I don't know of any that clamp elsewhere. Just be bit careful when you put it on the turbo.

You either get ones that clamp the skewers or you can also can a rim driven trainer, but they're less common.
