Tyre and Tube Size

This may well be a stupid question but that's never stopped me before so here goes
Yesterday's ride saw some flint or other sharp nasty flip up from the road into the side of my tyre resulting in a lovely 2cm rip straight through .
New rubber is obviously now needed and the tyre I'm edging towards is 700x25, now here's the stupid bit, the rear tyre on this bike and both tyres on my best bike are 700x23 so I have loads of inner tubes to suit this size, I know you can get inner tubes that are allegedly different sizes but are they really, would the 700x23 inner tubes that I already have be ok on the 700x25 tyre as well?
Thanks

I'm sure you'll be fine using a 23mm tube in a 25mm tyre. I run 25mm tyres on both my bikes and I'm sure I've done it in the past.0

I have always used 18-23 tubes in 25mm tyres. Zero problems.25% off your first MyProtein order: sign up via https://www.myprotein.com/referrals.lis ... EE-R29Y&li or use my referral code LEE-R29Y0
