Triban 3 - will it fit proper SKS guards?

My nephew is loving his Triban 3 that we got for his 18th birthday. It's his all-year bike and I've told him to get mudguards for it.

He says it has eyelets for guards but do any of you nice folks out there know if the brakes and frame give enough clearance for normal (SKS) mudguards?

Many thanks.

Not sure on full guards, as I have some half size Halfords ones on mine at present.

I have heard from post on the Triban Forum that sks raceblades longs appear to fit Ok.

Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
  • Thanks Glen,

I've done a bit more Googling and it seems that it's a proper close-clearance set up so Raceblades and the like are the only option. It's a strange thing that the frame and forks have eyelets but it can't actually take eyelet-mounted guards.
