140mm fork on Canyon Nerve XC

I've got a Canymon Nerve XC 2011, which is 120mm front and back.
I'm looking to go up to 140mm fork, but I don't know if its possible.
There was another model, the Nerve AM which had a 150mm fork, and from what I can see, the frames are the same. Is this the case?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

so long as the frame is warrantied for a 140mm fork the change in head angle won't be too great (approx 1 degree)0

The frames may look similar but I believe they are different. I would check with canyon. Why are you looking for more travel?0

To do more burlier riding, and to make the bike into a more AM machine0

But are you running out of travel with your current forks?0

Yes, else I would not want/need longer travel...0

I've been running 140mm forks on my Spesh XC Pro for the last 12 months. It was originally the same as your Nerve, 120mm front and back. I've had no problems whatsoever and it rides a lot better with the longer travel up front. Like said above it slackened my Headangle by about 1 degree (.5 degrees per 10mm increase is 'normal' ).
It can also depend on the type of headset you have. My 2012 Mega can take 150-170mm with an external lower headset cup, but can take 180mm with an internal lower cup. I guess it adds extra strength to the headtube so could be worth considering if your frame allows the change and you don't want to risk damaging it.0
