Big box retailer. Bland service. Unlikely to ever be wowed by them but conversely unlikely to get shocking service.
If you're into a past time, specialist retailers are far more appealing as you can really engage with the shop staff. If you're out of your comfort zone with what you're buying, there is a certain safety in corporate bland. You may not get a mechanics expertise but neither are you likely to get ripped off as the sales assistant has no incentive to do so.
This applies to pretty much most big box retailers where staff aren't on commission.0
