Clearance between Rebas and Maxxis Advatage

Using 2.25" inch Maxxis Advantage on my bike with Reba forks and can't fit either a bender fender or an RRP neoguard to the front as the tyre rubs due to minimal clearance between it and the fork bridge.
Are the advantages known for being tall and is this likely to clog with mud as the weather gets wetter? I'm a little worried about mud starting to wear the fork bridge.
Any better recommendations for a tyre that's a better fit?
Thanks

I can't say I ever had a problem: 2010 Reba and 2.25" ADvantage with a Bender Fender between. With a bender fender it'll wear before anything else (mine eventually broke apart from all the pine cones that'd shot through it).0

How old are your rebas? Mine have enough clearance for a 2.5" HighrollerTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I have Rebas and 2.1 Panaracer Fire XCs - and I think the clearance is tight with those - I don't want to sound dramatic, but a small stck and some mud and you'll be burying your front teeth in the trail!0

You sure that's a 2.25"?!
I'm running a 2.4" Chunky monkey with my 2012 Reba with plenty of room to spare. I would take a pic but the forks are with Merlin having broken under warranty.0 -
Definitely 2.25. Was the same with the toras that where on when I got the bike.0

Same problem with 2.25 Nevegals on my Rebas. Even worse with some Geax mud tyres I used briefly...0

I'm using 2.2" Conti Rubber Queens on my Anthem with 2012 Rebas and theres plenty of clearance.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

i run 2.5 high rollers on mine and they do get clogged up with mud (to the point where they wont turn!)
try fitting 2.3 schwalbe space tyres in them, you have no hope in hell!0 -
Going to order a 2.1" advantage for the front, the same as I have on the rear, should give me around 15mm more clearance on the front compared to what I have.0

I have the same problem with my Reba RL and Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.3, ended up cutting the straps off my RRP and using three tie wraps under the forks.0

I believe that 2012 rebas have more clearance.0

Fitted the 2.1" advantage today, so much more clearance now and hopefully I don't loose much front end grip.0
