After years on hardtails I've decided it would be fun to build a full suspension bike. Im going to get on ebay and have a look what frames are for sale
Any suggestions?
my criteria...
a) I like light bikes
b) I like to climb steep technical stuff
c) I like XC marathon type stuff
I like the look of specialized fsr, giant anthem and cube ams but this is based on looks so any proper opinions are welcome

£500 odd for a second hand frame
not too fussed about carbon, don't like what happens to it when you fall off0 -
I was going to suggest:
Santa Cruz Blur TRC? VPP for technical climbing, reasonably light, responsive under power.
Scott Spark in a 650b flavour?
But those are both new unlikely finds on ebay and definitely over budget! So my cheap ebay suggestion would be a Specialized Epic maybe 2009 edition in range of your budget (which means it will be 26 inch wheel too. Or a Superlight? Or early Trek Fuel?Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -
You won't go wrong with an Anthem. I paid £400 for a very tidy two year old frame and shock.
It does everything you say you want to do extremely well.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
