Hello,
I have been looking at getting a road bike for some time and now with a few good deals I'am looking at finally buying. However, I don't have much knowledge about the specs and best brands of bike and was hoping some of you may be able to give some advice on which bike is best for my budget, especially if you have tried these bikes.
I have been looking at
GT GTR 5 2013 £389 on Wiggle
Mekk Pinerolo AL ZR 2013 £411
Pinnacle Dolomite 1 £405 Evans
Bt'win Triban 3 £299 Decathalon
I almost went to buy the Triban 3, obviously with the very attractive price but didn't want to just go for it when I could get something that would be a much better bike overall and still in my budget.
Thanks in advance

Out of those I would say the Mekk was an easy winner, but adding another forty odd quid will get you a 9 speed full 2013 Sora Felt from wiggle.
You will save some petrol and if you use quidco the extra will be minimal ;-)0 -
Agree on the felt. Mine arrived on Wednesday to use through the winter, lovely bike for the money.
Check it out http://www.wiggle.co.uk/felt-z95-specia ... on-2013-1/0 -

Okay being swayed to push the budget a bit. I was wondering what's the difference between the Z95 special and F95 special as they are the same price but I cant see to much difference in spec.0

Found the answer. viewtopic.php?t=12884931&The main difference is the frame geometry, the z series is more relax where as the f series is their out and out race geometry
I like the look colour and look of the Z so think I may have made my desicion
Thanks to you all0 -
