Rear wheel problem Carrera Subway

Hi everyone,

I was cleaning my work bike and took the wheels out while I did this. When I put the rear wheel back there was a noise like the disc brake rubbing, no problem I thought, adjust the caliper.

Noise is still there, adjust brake again and still no good  I can see the disc is not touching anywhere so I take the caliper off completely, spin the wheel and the noise is still there. If I really turn the pedals at speed and let it free wheel quickly it sounds like something is rubbing and now and then they'll be a cracking sound but this is intermittent.

Any ideas what it can be?

Just ride it and see. You need to bed the pads in again if you've been messing with the adjustment.

But the wheel still makes noise with the brake removed completely. Could the bearings need replacing already? The bike is only about 6 months old.

    Cup and cone? Adjusting/servicing/lubing maybe.

Just had this done and is a lot better now, there was hardly any grease in there  luckily there was also no pitting :D
