Trek suspension swap?

Hi ALL, I've been offered the forks and shock off a Trek Slash at a very good price and I'm trying to find out if I can fit them to my Trek Fuel ex 7. Both bikes are 2012 models. Nice and stiff 36 forks with 160 travel and kashima coatings.
Anyone have any advice about the possible fitment?
Thanks Bill.

what is the travel of the old fork.
what is the steerer type on the old and new? what are the steerer lengths?
Re the shock are they the same i2i and stroke?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Isn't it 120mm travel standard? 160mm forks would be a bit long and likely kill you when the frame snaps.I don't do smileys.

and just a quick look at the rear shock no way.
so to sum up will not fit and totally unsuitable."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hi, thanks for the replies.
When I've looked at images it would appear that the shocks are from the same family just slash is a bit longer 30mm or so. My fuel has a bit more space above the shock now so was thinking it would be able to accommodate the longer shock. If I swap both front and back why would the frame snap as I'd have thought the geometry would be pretty much stock?
Now the seed is sown is it possible to fit any other longer travel suspension to a trek fuel ie 150 front and back??
Slash was looking good because it was cheap.
Any thoughts, thanks Bill0 -
Nope, it will ruin it. 30mm is a big difference at the shock end.
It's just not compatible, they are two completely different bikes which happen to be made by the same company0 -
