front mech problem

need help with my front mech! after doing a rebuild of my kona kickapu I bought an xt front mech -m771 conventional mount and its 3x9 speed, the front mech is set 3mm above outer ring as specified from shimano but when front mech is over small ring chain is rubbing against bottom part of mech .This happens when shifting through most of rear gears , also I assumed that when body weight was applied when riding this would drop suspension down and stop rubbing but it still rubs , any ideas please?

1mm is better. And sounds like you are using unsuitable gear combos too ie the two smallest cogs - is no need.0

chain still rubs when on small ring at front and large ring at rear,if I lower mech to 1mm will this help?0
