Fittings front mudguard without fork eyelets
Hello all, I'm about to fit mudguards front and rear however my fork doesn't have eyelets. Can the great and good suggest the best way to bodge this? I'm thinking oval P clips if there is such a thing. Thanks in advance. FYI I have a set of sks chrome plastic guards ready and waiting

Suppose it's a bit late in the day for you if you've already purchased a set guards that require eyelets on the forks and seat stays. Not really sure if there is a satifactory work around that will give you a trouble free fix in the absence of eyelets.
As the old adage goes "If I was looking to fix some guards to eyelet free forks, I wouldn't start by buying SKS chromo plastics"
There are at least a couple of solutions out there in the form of the Crud Roadracer MkII _ useful compromise but a bit fiddley to fit and can sometines need constant fettling to stop them rubbing on the tyres.

or alternatively the SKS Raceblade Long:-

More costly than the Cruds but a bit more robust - not sure how universally they are to fit all fork sizes.
Sorry to be a bit negative. Hopefully someone else might be able to suggest a workaround for your existing guards.0 -
Can can use P clip instead of eyelets on the bottom of the fork. However, if there aren't any eyelets on the fork (and quiet often even if there is) there probably won't be enough room under the fork to fit the guards.
Before you venture too far into trying to find ways of connecting them to the fork ends; pop your front wheel out, take off the front brake fit the mudguard on the brake and put the wheel back in. Then check the clearance, chances are the wheel won't even turn let alone give you the minimum 5 mm or so you would need.
If this is the case you need Race Blades, Crud catchers etc.0
