Reading this thread I'm glad I live where I do - 30 minutes' drive from Golspie. Great trails that you don't have to pay for (well, if you park there you do) and maybe three other people there if it's busy!

I live less than 30 mins from BPW and there's at least a hundred other places to ride for free, hence why I've only been there once since it opened

That's one disadvantage of living up here I suppose - great trails and nobody on them but not very many!

we're really lucky where we live as there's loads of guys who like building trails and new ones pop up all over the place.

I've been to Golspie, the main downside is you have to drive about 3 hours to get to the arse end of nowhere and from there it's about another hour to the middle of nowhere.

If you think Golspie is in the middle of nowhere, you might want to re-think ;)

Just had a Google map trip around Golspie - looks like a combination of Siberia and North Korea, just without the vibrancy of the latter.

Are you looking at the same Golspie I'm looking at?

I don't think it's the same one :P This is the one that I'm looking at - I don't see what's wrong with it.
