2014 is the 13th annual running of this challenging ride through some of the most scenic areas of the UK. It is one of the original UK Sportive/Gran Fondo events & noted for it's good organisation with all the usual facilities riders have come to expect. It is now organised by Wills Wheels Cycling Club & supported by lots of enthusiastic members.

Entries are steadily arriving for next years event & it looks as though we'll end up in excess of the previous largest entry which we limited to 600---There is now no upper limit on the number of entrants as with the new organisation we can easily cope with 1,000+ --For a background look at what goes into the organisation of this event go to the British Cycling website & click on to Polkadot Challenge where there is a short film of last years helpers setting up & working on the day--Put this event in your diary for 2014 SUNDAY 25 MAY--you will have a cracking day out in the Derbyshire Peaks.

would you happen to know what happened to the chap who was badly injured at Longnor riding this event in 2012?

Fond memories of this when I lived up north... one of the not so many true Granfondo left with a reasonable entry fee
