Hi everyone

Just looking on ebay for a front light and came across this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ultra-Bright- ... 2eca23aec7

Just wondering if anyone has one, they seem really good for the money... too good maybe?

Can anyone tell me what the battery life on them is like, and also are these "off road" lights? I want bright lights but not to dazzle other road users.

Thank you for any advice :)

There's a big thread about these on STW. Verdict seems to be,lights are very good, batteries seem hit and miss.
  • That light has been discussed recently on last few pages of the big lights thread on MTB Buying Forum

  • By the way Andy I ride the same Co Durham roads as you and have been fine for the last three years with Cree torches - I prefer having two torches rather than dual light head as it seems less likely that both will fail. I got the T6 torch from SS's sticky on MTB buying and a bog standard 501b with XML U3 emitter - plenty light for me riding fast in our dark country roads.

OOPS Just read the MTB thread and see you bought an SS - hope it works out well for you.

Thanks for that, I thought I'd take a chance on one at that price.

I've already got a Hope Vision One, so I can keep that with me as a back up light. Looks like we're not far from each other as I'm just north of Newton Aycliffe.
