Does anyone have any statistics on the growth in the popularity of cycling, demographic info etc? I’m seeing a potential investor for a business idea this week and need some ammunition. An infographic would be ideal. Thanks

I assume you've "done" the basics?

which I suspect also includes "defensive lines to take" in response to negative come back.

There are also easily google-found official DTp/Parliamentary studies.

I read that there has been a 34% increase in people riding their bikes to a railway station.

They didn't say what percentage were able to cycle away from a railway station :D

    but seriously...

There can't be great stats out there. When is any data collected? I don't think ATM's record cycles unless they're on a cycle track designed for the purpose. Ownership stats might exist? Other stats would be from the British travel survey - the sample base isn't that big I don't think.

So I would have to cycle for 300 years before it killed me. That is a relief...
