They are round at my place having a few beers.

When I asked, they all said not to invite you!

    Sorry.

Well reply to my threads then ya fecker - I'm doing my best to liven the place up

Actually it's been duller than a certain forum I could mention for the last couple of days - you'd think day with all the pants weather people would be holed up on the interweb?

I haven't been able to use the log in for a couple of days, still couldn't this morning till I realised that the only way was to comment on a post then I get the log in box

I'm here now, how were you gonna generate diesel Mr P, I'm interested, it was good that you were expecting to generate diesel and ended up generating oil, no? :D

So I took a king pin out of my front suspension and realised the new cotter pin I had ordered from Germany didn't fit, so couldn't put it back together, German efficiency po faced bartstards, making parts that don't fit, ya ya.
I hope you are all here tomorrow so I can throw some vicarious insults around. Ciao.

Still trying to work out what a "vicarious insult" would be, do I have to insult myself on your behalf, or do I insult someone else whilst pretending to be you? Can I pretend to be Mrs T and insult everyone or what? :D

Be careful if you start doing that, there are people out there who are experts in taking offence on someone else's behalf.

@ T47b - Not generating diesel or oil or power. There is a balance shaft and a cam shaft. The balance shaft turns at the same speed as the crankshaft. The cam shaft runs at half crankshaft speed (Duh). There are 3 punch holes - one in each shaft. I lined all three up and then you have to put the sump on with the engine upside down and half a ton of Wynn's instant gasket: The crankcase is pressurised.
Ha. Engine - no compression... Manual in pdf format. 1 hour later, no joy. Camshaft is 180 degrees out.
Back to splitting the engine, peeling the gasket maker goo off, re-sealing it and turning the crankshaft half a turn before re-assembly sometime soon when I got the energy. Might have the staff sorting cans out with a magnet and jumping up and down on them a lot.
Bloody Japs - po faced baskets and their manuals...
@ STC - the login for Arran77 didn't work...The User Control Thingy: I am sorting it
@ Everyone - you are a bunch of webbed fingered, swivel eyed loons in ASDA/Tesco outfits. Vicarious enough ?

I hate that feeling when you know it all has to come apart again, once did that with a gearbox, having reassembled it and feeling good, put it back in the car, then found a small spring and a ball bearing on the bench! I drove the car, it was fine, put it in reverse and found out that the extra lift of the lever that is required for selecting reverse is pushed back in place by a small spring and a ball bearing, worked fine without it, just had to press the lever back manually, not taking a gearbox out for that :D

@ T47b. As long as you know the gear lever is not going to pop out whilst reversing and do some damage ?

It was in a car I used to own with column gear change, it could have your eye out, except during reversing I tend to face the other way :D

Column gear change ?!? Was that the car you were given when the Ruskies sent you to Cuba, before the big bent bang theory?

Do not, I repeat, NOT, waste your time with Lost.
I gave up after season 1.
People I know who stuck with it wished they had followed my example.
