Are they worth £50 per set ?
Just finishing a build, have the cables which came with the SRAM red controls but curious about the alternatives?

i use nokon for outers on my shiny bike, saves a bit of weight and with powercordz allows tighter bends, this is a sram red build too
it's undeniably a bling thing, although i found the shifting a bit snappier than with the original cables
but if you've got the spare dosh, no reason not to
btw if the sram red ones are gore ride-on, the cables are ptfe coated, me experience is that after a while the coating strips and bungs up the cables, imho better to ditch the cables and fit normal ss onesmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
I've been having terrible problems with my gear changes of late. This has resulted in me replacing cables, then the rear derailleur hanger, then the rear derailleur and the front ergo mechanism. I've just got the bike back and, at long last, the gears change cleanly each and every time. When I left the bike in, I had bought a set of Alligator cables having been recommended them (they are the main alternative to Nokon), and offered them to the mechanic. He poo-poo'd the idea saying that in his experience they added nothing to the party. And this is on a bike which has flaws in cable routing, hence me willing to try any alternative. I've gone with his recommendation and now have a sealed unused set of Alligator gear cables gathering dust and a bike which works better than I've experienced so far!

I run Nokons and Alligator i-links on a few bikes - the Nokons are highly recommended, they really are fit and forget. One set I've simply left for 10 years will full-length liners - squirt a bit of lube on the inner annually and that's it. i-links have been more problematical - the material is too soft and isn't suitable for brakes as the sections split under load.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
