HOVE Train Station - secure?

Afternoon

I've been scouring the web to no avail, but this looks like the place to ask

I'd like to cycle to Hove train station and leave my bike there whilst I commute into London

Does anybody on here do this? I'm just trying to determine whether it's safe

I've got a mountain bike with road tyres, but the wheels and seat are both quick release, so I guess I'm looking for someone to put my mind at rest that the bike would be safe there! I do work late sometimes, so might only be collecting it at 9pm by which time there aren't many staff members around

Anyone?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't leave any bike I would be gutted to lose at a train station, frankly. Thieves don't care about CCTV too much!

Having said that, if you get a decent (heavy!) lock, such as the Abus Granit X-Plus, and a cable lock too, then it might be alright. Watch this and then read this (not meaning to teach you the obvious but I see so many bikes poorly locked up outside.

How far is the ride? If it's not too far then you could consider a hack bike.
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.

The only way it wont get nicked is if the lock costs more than the bike is worth, even then it's not guaranteed.
