Yeah they are vying for a £30,000 prize in The Dyson Awards.
I am a bit concerned about "Water Resistant". At the price, $229 + S&H + Tax, I'd want them to be at Waterproof.
Then we come to Theft Resistant ....Seneca wrote:It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.

They do look good - but I'm not forking out that much.
You can lob a tyrefly on your valve cap for about £5. Almost as good. Massively cheaper - and removable in a second.0 -
Was given a set of these as a surprise birthday pressie.
Just fitted the front - well fiddly and tricky to get them aligned nicely; took over an hour.
Had a quick 2min test ride and am quite impressed.
Will be fitting the rear tomorrow in time for a 5am commute on Sunday down unlit lanes, should be a good test!
Will post updates...0 -
Well, so far so good.
Quite bright although I wouldn't rely on the front to see your way. Lights up the road immediately in front of you but not for a great distance beyond about 10 feet.
However, they're certainly bright enough to be noticed and the way the rear flashes when you slow is good.
Feel much safer on roundabouts as side visibility is much better.
Have been out in torrential rain with them a few times now and there's no sign of any leaks into the battery packs or lights themselves. Bike has also been left outside in the rain a few times with no ill effects.
Batteries lasted for 4 rides of around 45mins each although I don't think I'd fully charged them when fitting them initially. Now seeing how long they last on a full charge.
Even had the police stop to ask about them while I was waiting at the lights on the first time out. They were impressed - said the rear was very noticeable from a distance.
and they look damn cool!!!0 -

Do you really think it's 'almost as good'? Yes, they are a bit pricey but they appear to do a lot more than a tyrefly or spoke lights. Hopefully they'll get cheaper as I really want something to give high quality side vision at night and anything making me more visible from front and back is a bonus.0 -

Such as?
Especially If you already have a front and rear light.
One question I have is... After spending £100's on lighter wheels how much weight is this adding to the wheels? From the website it looks like you have to fit a li ion battery pack to each wheel."The Prince of Wales is now the King of France" - Calton Kirby0 -
Did you notice any wheel balance issues? I know the power pack is right in the centre of the wheel, but it's still off-centre.
The older I get, the better I was.0 -
When you lift the bike and rotate the wheels you can feel a slight imbalance but on the road there's nothing, feels perfectly normal at any speed.
Mind you, I haven't got mine perfectly aligned yet so the 'wheels up' imbalance may be due to that.
Also, given the roads I ride on you'd be hard pressed to tell imbalance from bouncing over the potholes and rippled tarmac!
Have had two further drenchings in the last two days - no problems so far.0 -
Seems just a wee bit on the pricey side when you can get seen by using
