Budget Say £350
Will be going on a Cannondale SL5, main use would be xc/trail centres.
Fox F100 RL?

Is it better than a SID? Or is the SID too racey for General use?0 -

assuming 1 1/8 9mm QR
£303
Think Cannondale will take both a 1 1 /8 or a 1.5 its got a Tange reducer thing according to the specs.0 -
A variant of the RS Reba for sure IMO.
This is still under 400: http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FORSSIDXX/r ... m_solo_air'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0 -
I use the SID RLT very, very good fork IMHO. Never ridden a Reba so cant compare but I prefer it to my old mans Fox F100. I don't find it overly flexy either.0

Reba is excellent. Good reliable fork, easy to service and works well.
Remote lock out is crap though.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

They only have 650b version by the look of it - would you run that on a 26er?0 -
SIDs were flexy until around 2010 (I think) when they increased the stantions from 28mm to 32mm at which time I think they became a real contender to take the Reba's crown as the best all rounder but people had got so stuck on 'SIDs arent strong enough' and so used to thinking the REBA was the best out there that it often gets overlooked.
I would say SID or REBA - whichever seems to offer the best deal, unless you are riding something particularly gnarly (in which case you would probably want more than 100mm anyway) or you weigh 20 stone, in which case you may choose the extra peace of mind in the REBA.
Dont know about Fox forks as I have no experience but they seem to be the main opposition.0 -
Agreed Reba or Sid, but do not under estimate the Manitou Minute, better than you might think.0
-
Reba and Sid use same chassis but different internals.0

I wouldn't - my mistake...'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0 -
Should be fine with a 650b fork. They are only very slightly different to a 26" fork.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Same as the bikes... but the bikes cost a lot less.0
