I'm looking to get a new bike, i don't ride hard but do about 50 miles a week over a combo of Forrest dirt tracks, hiking trails and roads. I'm not 100% sure what sort of bike i should get people have suggested looking at a hybrid bike others MTB. My local shops are basically a Halfords or a Bike specialist but since i don't really know what i'm really looking for i just hit up both. I was given 2 options basically either a Carrera Crossfire 2 Hybrid Bike or a GT Aggressor 2013 (old model so on sale) both have similar spec and to my eye are not too different other than the GT will be better off road and the Carrera on road.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Aggressor is a bit better specced and has better wheels, but not much in it.

Tyres will make the most difference for your use, as they stand the Carrera probably has the better tyres for what you want, but nothing to stop you changing them!
