I'm looking for a new seatpost as my current one is creaking by the saddle so was wanting one that is more secure in that area. I was looking at the Truativ range as they are dual bolted but was wondering if there is anything similar from other brands.

  • Quite a few.
I have always had an Easton dual-bolt on my bikes.

I really like the Raceface ranges as the mounting system is easy to use and adjust whilst very secure - I believe other manufacturers use a similar system - also you could check out the I-beam systems from SDG (and others produce it under licence).

I used this before I got my dropper : http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/raceface-evolve-seatpost/rp-prod106653

Have you checked that it is not the saddle creaking? I've had several that creak where the rails join the saddle's 'hull' - squirting some lubricant around can help.... Also it's not uncommon for the rails (especially titanium ones) to creak against the clamps - dismantling, cleaning, and greasing can often sort it.

Good advice here. I've had a few creaky moments but this sort of maintenance can often cure them. I have an On-one cheap 'n' cheerful post, by the way.

I got a Truativ Stylo seatpost from Wiggle a few weeks ago, it is great and holds my saddle where I want it and seems less creaky than the Exotic one it replaces, but at more than £55 I wouldn't have spent that much on a seatpost other than the fact I'd been given vouchers.
