Hi
Thinking about getting a cross bike for commuting and a bit of off road fun, what pedals do you recommend using?Currently have SPD-SL on the road bike, are these going to be a pain in the a*se for a cross bike as I dont really want to have to get a second pair of shoes, or just get some cheap flats for the off road bits?
Cheers

Any pedal is fine for commuting on the road.
For CX they'd be no good. If your off road is just on gravel or very straight forward bits in the dry then you might away with leaving them on, but as soon as they get muddy or you need walk or put your foot down and expect some grip they'll be rubbish.
Platforms would be fine if your just riding for fun.
Personally I've got egg beaters on my CX and MTBs.0 -

will probably just get platforms for off road and use my old SL pedals for the commuting and put some shiny ones on the road bike0
