Hardtail for under £600.

So, im looking for a good, solid, well built hardtail that i can throw about a bit, but the only problem i find is that 100mm forks are just too shallow, and i wonder if there are any hardtails in that price range with something like 140-160mm travel, maby something like a suntour Epicon, or raidon.


Also, i was looking into buying a carrera banshee, but im awere that a lot of people are having problems with the chainstays snapping, anyone have experience with this?

    I wouldn't buy a Banshee for that exact reason as it is a fairly common problem.
