Swapping Euro Brake Setup around

I bought a bike which has European braking system which I still can't get used to - it's Shimano Ultegra 6700 full setup, with the front brake on the left(!). Is it possible to swap the brakes cables around so the (right!) lever operates the front?

Understandably of course I'd need to change the cables too so would go for Jagwire, unless there's a better option?!

The left brake is the front! I want the right brake to be the front... How can I change it?

Just swap the cable from the front calliper to the right brake mechanism and vice versa. Simple job to do.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
  • You don't need new cables - just swap them at the brake levers. You might need new bar tape - some tapes fall apart when you un-wrap them.
