Looking forward to this tomorrow, despite my ride buddies all being the "wrong side" of 50 meaning they get 15 more minutes than me to beat the Gold Standard. Hoping to keep something in reserve til after Barhatch and then bury myself...

    Made it round, missed the gold standard by 6 minutes but will try again next year; great ride and well organised. I think we were lucky Autumn hasn't set in properly; the Surrey lanes were damp and if there had been more leaves on the road it could have a large chunk of the route a lot trickier. Barhatch was worse than I have ever experienced, and spinning the back wheel when out of the saddle didn't help!
    Some nutters from Clapham Chasers seemed to think that just because the lanes were single track that meant no cars could possibly come the other way.
