There seems to be a lot of stuff on the web that switching to tubulars is one of the best things that you can do to improve.
How much difference does they actually make?
Is it a case of train on clinchers, keep the tubs for racing?
any advice on buying wheels? Deep section Chinese /Planet x or a simple set of reflex built into Shimano hubs..
Thanks

Tubs do make a lot of difference.
Smoother ride in the dry as you can run lower pressures and lots more grip in the mud.
Use clinchers for training
Downside is that you need a couple of sets to cope with different conditions.
Dughast are the best but I tend to run Challengers now as they are a lot less fragile.
Deeps look good but practically some aluminium rimmed wheels will give you better breaking( in the wet) and work fine0
