Hi, was thinking about getting my first mountain bike for basic trail riding, forest riding and single track, nothing competitive or serious. I have saw the voodoo bikes get a good review and was wondering if that is the case? Also wondering if extra£100 for the 2013/14 hoodoo is worth it over the Bantu?

they are very well thought of by those who have them, they along with the rockrider and the kraken are ahead of everything else at the price, some like one some another

but hoodoos are about as good as youl get for 500 quid or so

the bantu question is a little harder, particularly as they are/were on offer at 350quid

it really depends on how much disposable income you have, but yes the voodoo are little bit better than the bantu in nearly all aspects so probably worth the extra money if you have it to spend

Until Monday Halfords have and extra 10% off if you order online so the hoodoo is down to £404
  • £404 for a brand new hoodoo is a good price, also check eBay,I got a brand new in the box voodoo bokor for £375 RRP £675 & I love it
  • Try to get last years Hoodoo if you can. It has the superior air forks as opposed to this years oil sprung forks. I picked one up a couple of weeks ago. If your local store hasn't got one they can check on their system for the nearest store with one in (assuming there are any left).
