after my caad was serviced a few months ago i was told it could be on its way out, it is my winter bike and so not been riding much till recently. the other day it was clicking quite loud now and think its very much o the way out. it is currently an fsa bb and just looking generally how compatible are different bb? its an fsa chainring the rest being tiagra. i thoguht bb would be really expensive but basically is it worth and possible to put say an ultegra bb on, i assume it would be a upgrade.

It really depends on what spec your crankset is. There are loads of BB standards. If you have a MegaExo FSA BB and Crank then its unlikely an ultegra one will work for you. I know from experience. I seem to recall from on here that Caads are typically BB30 but the best way is to check the bike before buying anything.

Having the BB30 replaced on my supersix which is the same.
Switched my crankset on my CAAD10 from FSA to 105. Needed adapters but LBS sorted.
