Kinesis TK3

I ordered a TK3 in grey 54cm in the middle of August. I was disappointed when the delivery date of 11th October came through. Now I have a delivery date of 7th November. It is not the retailers fault as it sounds like its on a boat from Tiawan, but I am still on my summer/race/best bike and don't really want to use it through the English autumn.
So
1. Does anyone know anywhere that has the frame in stock.
2. Alternative frame options.(mud guards and wallet friendly)
Cheers
Steve

Hold out for the TK3. V pleased with mine. (Although the Dolan looks like a good buy!!)0

I'd also say wait. I have the original Tk which is now 6 years old and still going strong. It's been my one and only year round, do-it-all bike, with the mudguards coming off when it's dry enough.
Only recently have I built up a summer bike around a Scott CR1-SL frame and fork, and it's better, but not by much! I'm still keeping the Tk as a dedicated wet weather bike.0 -
I'm in a bit of a similiar situation...not sure if I can hold out for a TK3, so looks like I might be going for a Ribble Sportive 365 instead. Carbon over aluminium....hmmm

Try Winstanleys...Frame only
Worth waiting for TK30 -
Thanks for the replies so far.
I am leaning towards waiting(ordered from Winstanleys).
I will just be a fair weather cyclist until then.0 -

OK, I'll be the first one to ask. Why don't you want to ride your summer/race/best bike during autumn?0

Loads of reason dwanes, top 3 are.
1. To keep it best rather than get all the sh*t off the lanes on all the lovely/expensive parts
2. Carrying an extra couple of kgs helps with the training
3. I like to have a compact on my winter/training bike
Autumn hasn't been cold yet but you only need one night to be close to freezing and the gritters are out and I don't want to get all the lovely salt on my best bike.0 -

If you get fed up waiting for the Kinesis then have a look at the Forme Longcliffe frames. They are made by Kinesis and come with eyelets front and rear to take full guards for winter duty. Paul Milnes Cycles on Fleabay are the usual source and they currently have a Longcliffe 1 frame + fork in a 53cm on offer at £235. For less money they have a selection of sizes of the Longcliffe 4 frame at £199

I built up one of their Longcliffe 2 frames earlier this year as a winter project:-
Liked it so much that I ended up using it as an all year round bike. Am now about to install the full guards before the worst of the weather is upon us.0
