Deore SL-M530 3 speed shifter sticking.

My front mech shifter has started sticking after operating the bottom (Pull) lever, stripped down to see what the problem is and the spring is travelling over the top levers pivot point and sticking. It didn't use to but hasn't been ridden in anger for a while. Will a good clean, re-lube and spring replacement sort it out or am I looking a new shifter?
