Rose rear suspension difference 2013 to 2014?

I was interested in buying a discounted 2013 Rose Granite Chief but now I’ve seen the rear suspension setup for their 2014 models.
I’ve heard that the 2013 system had some trouble with absorbing small bumps so they have tweaked the 2014 system to absorb all hits.
Has anyone got any comment on this, has anyone used a Rose bike with the 2013 or older geometry?
Do I buy now with the old geometry and get a hefty discount or wait till November for the new bikes?
Cheers,
Tom.

I'm in Italy so my home turf is a little way off. Maybe Rose has a presence in Italy? To the internet.

I have ridden a Beefcake which I think was a 2013 model a while ago and it felt pretty good. Much better than the similarly priced Canyon Torque.
