Hi folks, with me doing more evening rides round a road circuit, in the evening, I’m in need of a rear light that I can get fitted around my rear seat post, as my knog that did work is dying….

The post is easily double the thickness of a standard seatpost, so I am restricted in what would work…

Any ideas?

    I've got the same issue.

I tried one of the cateye seatrail mounts and it works very well, unless you have your saddle fully forward leaving insufficient room for the actual mount to attach.
Tried a Leyzne one with a rubber O'ring type mount which parted company with the seattube at some point around my local loop during the first ride.
Currently use an Exposure Fibre (I think that's what it's called) attached to a seat stay, although I'd still like to find a suitable seatpost mounted one, if such a thing exists.
  • i m using a cheap led keyring type light, the elastic band fits well round my integrated aero seatpost
  • I hang mine off the back of my Topeak saddle bag. My light is a Cateye and they do a clip for about £2.
    Is the gorilla tired yet?

Couple of bits of high density stick backed foam bodged a flare bracket nicely.

Been using this Flare for a couple of years and it's not jumped out so far (it has other issues that mean I want to replace it). I've got some thermoplastic so I'm going to investigate making a flat fitment that will allow me to fit an Exposure Blaze.

I picked up a rear light from Giant Concept Store in london which is designed for Aero seatposts and fits my Cervelo post perfectly

Knog do a dinky rear light which has a stretchy clamp, like the Exposure one. Fits an aero post okay.

I reckon a fibre flare would probably stretch around, not tried one though...
