Hey folks,
Just about to order a Canyon Ultimate CF 2014 but wanted some advice on payment methods.
I dont have a credit card so spoke with Canyon who told me i can pay by debit card (visa) or bank transfer (if i use the pre-payment option). Im a little bit wary of the lack of protection bank transfers/debit cards offer should any issues arise so just wondered if anyone on here has paid by the prepayment option/bank transfer?? How did you find the process?
Were there any issues?
Thanks

I think you still have some cover on a debit card, check with your bank. if so use that method.0

I think Canyon charge to the card as they dispatch. Nice choice of bike by the way.0

lol, something like that.
tbh i would just like to have some type of protection incase anything should go wrong.
That isn't going to happen, mate. And if anything goes wrong, well they're a legitimate company with whom you will have a contract.
Don't worry about it.Ben

I think visa debt cards have the same protection as credit cards , by law the protection only covers credit cards but visa do it on debt card as well.0

Only credit card payments are covered by Section 75 although debit card payments are still protected by way of chargeback. Section 75 does provide a higher level of protection.

Hmmm, have you seen their accounts? Are you aware of any problems/issues with their finances? Are they paying their suppliers on time? Their loans?
Most likely that 99%, Canyon are a perfectly solvent and reliable company.
But that's what they said about Lehman Brothers 2 days before they imploded........0
