Sunday past saw the first West Highland sportive "The Oban Sportive" run for the first time on a long and short course. I can't recommend this event enough as it was a small entry fee, very well run, and on two excellent routes. I did the short course which at 52 miles clocked up 5,000ft of ascent on some stunning climbs with a mountain back drop of Ben Cruachan. Long course at 84 miles had 7,500ft. Great to see all the money going to local charities and enough home baking and cheering crowds on the climbs to bring a smile to any face

Another thumbs up for this one from me.
Bike looked after by Bike Fix in the town, a spectacular feed at The Seaffood Temple the night before and a great route and organisation on the Sunday.
Went for a gym session on the Tuesday which confimred the 5000ft of climbing were still in the legs!!
On my list for next year for sure.0
