As in the title I can't find these shoes anywhere to buy online!

Or, does anyone know anywhere in the middle of the country that might have them? Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff etc?

I can ask someone tomorrow if you like, Lake support the team I train with, and they have a great working relationship together!

  • Salt Dog Cycling also sell them.

Shame as I could have sold you my new pair - but they're 41's! Excellent shoes, by the way.

To be fair, not a great deal of places sell them, and I have never seen them in a bike shop.

Bern, can I ask how you think they size up? I tried on a 44 and my toe just touched the end, but I'm told when the heel is moulded the foot moves back, so I was thinking 44.... but my Spesh Pro's are 43 and S-works are 43.5, so if the heel moves back a bit do you think going for 43.5 will work too.

According to Lakes measurement sizing my foot is at the small end of 43, being 271mm, but I can't imagine a 43 will work if my toe hits the end of an unmoulded 44?

Also, I know the cleats will go quite a long way back on these shoes but is that at the expense of being able to run them very forward (my spesh shoes are both on the limit of cleat forwards on the mountings).

Tough to say when we're that far apart in shoe size - (41 vs 44). I've always been 41 in everything, Sidi, Bont, Lake, etc. and they fit fine. Having said that, I reckon the Lake 331's are probably the tightest of them all, so I'd say go for the 44. Nothing much changes in the oven IMHO.

I wear mostly 2013 Sworks now, and like the Lakes, I run the cleats as far forward as they'll go (i.e. as close to the toe as I can get them).

So you have 41 in the cx331 and 41 S-works?

Do your cleats go as far forward on the Lakes as they do on the S-works compared to the ball of your foot, or have you not really much measured this?

Yes 41 in both. Haven't measured any difference in cleat position in the two, I would say they're both pretty similar position.
