Sorry if this has already been posted. I've been on holiday and haven't checked the forum for a while.
Northumbria Police has been forced to apologise to a cyclist after he was wrongly pulled over by an officer for 'undertaking.

A statement said: "All officers are aware of the laws and rules of the road and we'll ensure they are reminded about this where necessary."

If all officers are aware of the laws and rules of the road, why do they need reminding of them?

The police officer made a bit of a fool of himself, didn't he? Though I don't understand why the cyclist didn't just queue behind the panda car and save himself and everyone else a whole lot of bother.

Given that the car wasn't indicating to turn left, the cyclist did exactly what I would have done.

Had it not been a Police car in that box, i'd probably have overtaken on right and stopped in front of them.
