Hi

I'm looking for a 26" Islabike Beinn for my daughter - either the small or large frame.

There don't seem to be any on eBay (at least not right now :( ). I'd really appreciate some advice as to the best place(s) to find one and make my daughter a very very happy bunny...!

Cheers to anyone who can help :)

Isla themselves do sell some second hand ones -- bikes that have been traded in for the next size up. But as they don't offer a huge discount most people put them on eBay.

eBay really is the best place to look I'm afraid, though the classifieds section on this forum does have them.

  • I might be able to help.

My daughter has now outgrown her Beinn 26 small and it was due to be heading for ebay or the classifieds here pretty soon. She hasn't ridden it much (nothing like as much as I hoped she would!) and it's always been stored indoors so condition is very good. There are a few scratches and marks - it's a child's bike, they drop them - but nothing serious and mechanically it is completely sound.

If you're interested I can try and sort some photos and other details.

Have you looked at those new frogbikes? Slightly heavier and a bit cheaper than islabikes. The islas are good, i have no experience of the frogs but on paper they look similar.
